Missing your own opening because of this stupidity over a passport to get in/out of Canada. Why are we allowing this? But I have to say, what a great scarf! And I hope your show goes excellently. I actually was blessed as a young kid to work for Maurice Heaton who developed the art of combining enamel
with glass. He would work in his barn ,in Valley Cottage NY, sprinkling different color enamels on plate glass and then generally use the eraser on a pencil to make he designs which he has become well known for. His work now is very valuable and collected.
I miss that old man.
Thanks for being nice and I wish you the best with your art :)
Stumbled

Re: Dots

Dots are not only cute and good for designs on fabric for your home or clothing but they also create a wonderful feeling when seen in a piece of artwork. I see it as money is energy. Art is also energy. I think in difficult times people need more art. They crave it. They can't get what you have at Sears or Wal Mart... they want REAL and handmade and inspiring things in their lives. Good blog post!!! See you on the face!

Re: Art in These Times

what a post - Like Jess - I to feel proud about my chosen path.
Love reading your blog.

Re: Art in These Times

Great post and article, definitely food for thoughts, thx.

Re: Art in These Times

what a wonderful and thoughtful post! i love the idea that artists shape the way our world and culture works-- it makes me feel really proud to do what i do.
thank you for stopping by pecannoot, too-- i'm glad you like it and hope you come back often!
